The StartupCon was founded in 2014 for the following reasons: Startups are the national and international focus of politics and business. Europe in particular, wants to maintain and further expand its pioneering role. The aim is to support young start-ups with creative ideas and to help them with contacts.
The StartupCon provides founders with knowledge, contacts and the spirit of entrepreneurship. The focus is on networking the startup scene as well as establishing new cooperation’s and expanding synergies between SMEs, corporations and young innovative startups.
On 29th and 30th October 2019 it’s finally time again: StartupCon enters its sixth round! Germany’s largest start-up exhibition and conference will be a guest at Digital X and will take place for the first time this year at Koelnmesse.
In addition to the previous awards – the Chem-, Tech- and Female-Startup 2019 Award – and the extension of the Food Award to the Health & Nutrition Startup 2019 Award, the Logistic & Mobility Startup 2019 Award is a brand-new addition and is being presented in cooperation with the Innovation World Cup Series. Particularly attractive are the respective award partners, who are composed of internationally renowned brands such as Würth, Henkel, Siemens, Covestro and Lanxess and are on the lookout for new technologies and products. Both national and international start-ups can apply to participate.
StartupCon part of DIGITAL X for the first time.
The founder conference StartupCon joins the digitization initiative. „This year we are part of DIGITAL X for the first time. From our point of view, the initiative unites all the protagonists of digitization – the start-up scene, small and medium-sized businesses and large corporates,“ explains Managing Director Ralf Bruestle. „Only if we all work together we will be able to advance digitization in Germany.“
Prominent speakers: Sir Richard Branson, Tim Berners-Lee, Jimmy Wales on several stages, cross-industry topics will be dealt with, new ideas and exchange in the digital age. Famous representatives of the digital scene will explain their visions of a networked world. Virgin CEO Sir Richard Branson wants to shoot space tourists into space for the first time in 2020. At DIGITAL X 2019, he will talk about how companies can take off on Earth. Tim Berners-Lee, founder of the World Wide Web, fights for more data protection on the Internet. Further, the father of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, discusses the challenges and opportunities of digitization. More speakers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
