Since 2013 Andre van Hall is Director of the BioCampus Cologne and is responsible for operations & strategy. He has been head of the BioMedizinZentrumDortmund, a life science incubator from 2006-2013 and chairman of the board of BioIndustry e.V., the biotech network of the Ruhr-area (2008-2013). From 2001 to 2006, he served as head of administration of the Medical Proteom-Center, a department of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Additionally, he coordinated several joint research projects within the German National Genom Research Network (NGFN). Before 2001, he served in diverse german industry companies. In 1999, he finished his studies of economics at the Universität Wuppertal. Due to his position as a mediator for technology transfer and as vital actor within the the innovation process, he is active in several organizations and associations.
